Spike and Jet are hired to recover an unusual item that has been stolen from a research laboratory. Spike is led on a wild chase, first by the thief...and then by the item itself!

Faye, in an attempt to flee from her debts, joins a cult called Scratch. Its members forsake their bodies, encouraging the transmutation of the human soul into electronic form. Turns out, Scratch's leader is wanted by the police after a number of his followers commit suicide. Now the Bebop's crew has to rescue Faye before more people die.
Still haunted by her past, Faye searches for more clues to her identity. Yet it seems that one of her crewmates is having more luck: Ed is reunited with her father. But the identity of this strange man is suspect. What will Ed do if she has really found her dad?
