With Christmas getting the lion's share of the attention during holiday time, Jewish folks have forever comforted themselves with the notion that, "Hey, at least we get eight nights instead of just one." Then some jerk at Christmas HQ casually decided that Christmas is, in fact, twelve days long. Instead of calling foul, the Hanukkah camp shot back with, "Well, we get little chocolate coins and funny tops," but by that time, the battle was already lost.
