The Flintstones are celebrating their fiftieth anniversary this year and looking back, it really was a revolutionary show. They were one of the first TV shows to depict a married couple sleeping in the same bed. They were the very first show to deal with the issue of infertility and followed Betty and Barney's efforts to adopt Bam Bam. But where the Flintstones truly broke new ground was that they were the first series to show an angry, idiotic fat ass who was married to someone way out of his league. Kevin James, Jim Belushi and Donal Logue all owe a big debt of gratitude to Frederick J. Flintstone.
