You might not remember every time your dad said to you, "Great job, kiddo," or, "I'm so proud of you." But you will definitely remember the moment your dad first said, "You're a big disappointment." Or when he remarked, "I wish we never had you." Or better yet, "Don't push me to a triple murder-suicide." Those moments linger on and on like the cigarette smoke in your couch. So Happy Father's Day, dads! Thanks for giving us the gifts that keep on giving long after the therapy sessions are over.
